Program distinctives

How does the program work?

May-August

You may be expected to complete 12 hour and/or weekend clinical rotations.

In addition to nursing courses, ABSN students will complete the following EMU core curriculum courses:

  • One 3 credit hour course focused on Intercultural learning.  May be met with a language course (may be transferred in) or CORE 300 Power, Systems, and Justice.
  • Transcripts will be evaluated for natural science/math, social behavioral science, and fine arts/humanities courses.  Most students will meet these requirements from their first degree

  • Orientation – May 13
  • Classes begin – May 14
  • Summer semester ends – August 16
  • No classes on May 27, June 19, and July 4
