Eastern Mennonite Seminary
Eastern Mennonite Seminary (EMS) provides training programs and graduate degrees to help people discern their call. EMS prepares people for a variety of ministry and leadership roles in the church, academy and beyond. As an Anabaptist seminary, EMS has special emphasis in peacebuilding, biblical studies, spiritual formation and theology. We train leaders for Mennonite Church USA, and The United Methodist Church, as well as other denominations.
Currently about 140 students attend Eastern Mennonite Seminary, either at the Harrisonburg campus, EMS at Lancaster, or online through our distance learning courses. See more fast facts about our campus.

Eastern Mennonite Seminary is located in Harrisonburg, Virginia in the Shenandoah Valley. Learn more about our location and directions. EMS shares facilities and history with Eastern Mennonite University. This gives seminary students a unique opportunity to participate in the wider campus community.
