Other important information

  • Paying your bill
    In the video above you learned how you can view your accounts on my.emu.edu. If you want to pay your bill check out the "General Payment Information" page on the business office website. It will provide options for paying your bill online and also what your payment options are. 
  • Grades and Transcripts
    • Unofficial transcripts and grades can be accessed on my.emu.edu. See the video above if you are unsure about how to use the student portal- my.emu.edu
    • Official Transcripts can be obtained through the registrar's office at EMU. Instructions are available on the registrar's website.
  • Email and Emergency alerts

    EMU will use your emu.edu email address as it's primary email for all communications. Please check that email regularly.

    Campus-wide Emails

    As a student at EMU you may receive some emails to the EMU community as a whole. You can edit when and how you recieve these messages by following the instructions for getting a broadcast email digest rather than individual emails.

    Emergency Alerts

    EMU Alerts is a notification system capable of sending emergency notifications instantly and simultaneously to registered mobile phones and email addresses. EMU Alerts is an opt-out system. Mobile phone numbers and email addresses are automatically enrolled to the alert system. We strongly encourage students, faculty and staff to not opt-out of the alerts system but we have provided instructions for editing preferences, adding additional phone numbers or emails and opting out.

  • Photo Permissions 

    EMU Marketing and Communication occasionallys takes photos of graduate, professional studies and seminary courses for use in marketing and recruitment materials. 

    EMU students can opt out of providing general photo permission through the Update Student Info form once they log in to my.emu.edu. 

    Opting out is best done before-hand. If a student decides at a later date to rescind photo permissions, he or she should provide specific emu.edu URLs to EMU marketing staff, who will attempt to remove related photos from the emu.edu website within 120 days.

    Students who do not want their image used in marketing materials share responsibility with EMU to make sure that their image is not used. If the student sees a staff photographer taking photographs, the student should feel empowered to notify the photographer or move to a place where photographs/video are not being made. Students who do not want their image used should also remove themselves from EMU marketing group photos.
