You have a passion for healthcare, systems, and people. With a degree in Healthcare Management from EMU, you can develop your skills to be prepared to enter a career where you can make a difference. Our Master’s in Healthcare Management program uniquely challenges students to take courses broadly from several disciplines. This program targets early career healthcare administrators who are currently working in a related field.  While work experience in a healthcare field is preferred, it is not required.  This program is typically completed in two years with start dates in both the fall and spring.  If students are seeking executive healthcare positions, they should pursue the MBA.

MA in Healthcare Management

Our Master of Arts in Healthcare Management challenges students to grow their leadership skills, including skills for conflict transformation and cross-cultural competence. Students will take courses in the MBA and MSN Leadership & Management programs. This program provides students with the relevant business skills for effective decision making and ethical leadership to improve the quality of healthcare in hospitals, insurance and managed care companies, pharmaceuticals, public health organizations, biotech firms, and a variety of healthcare settings.
