Do you want to become a skilled change-maker who works collaborativly toward the creation of a more peaceful world? With EMU’s peacebuilding major, you will learn to understand conflict on a global and local scale, to mediate conflict, and to work actively towards social change. Join a tight network of faculty, graduate students, alumni and practitioners from around the world who will energize, inspire and sustain your work for justice.

Perhaps you would like to work in schools or the criminal justice system to implement restorative justice practices? Or in a mediation center or non-profit organization to reduce conflict locally or globally? The coursework and experiences of the peacebuilding major will prepare you to influence people and organizations for peace. You could also continue your studies in our accelerated BA-to-MA program in conflict transformation program at the world-renowned Center for Justice and Peacebuilding.
