Testing Services

EMU offers computer-based testing services for CLEP and DSST. We are an open testing site. Proctoring services are considered on a per approval basis.

How to schedule a testing appointment?

Testing is available by appointment. We recommend a two week lead time.
Test times: CLEP 1.5 hours and DSST 2 hours.
Test Days: Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday
Evening and weekend testing is not available.

Cost & Payment Method

Administration Fees:
$30 for CLEP / DSST
$50 for DSST Principals of Public Speaking [includes Part 1 & 2}
$50 for Approved Exam Proctoring
Prepay online with debit, credit or e-check.

CLEP: $89 test fee (pre-paid online at CollegeBoard.org )

DSST: $85 test fee (debit or credit card)

Proctored Tests: Pre-approval required

What to Bring?

1. A valid government issued photo ID with signature – The name on the ID must match the name printed on the CLEP Registration Ticket.
2. Valid ID List
3. CLEP – Test Exam Registration Ticket (generated when complete registration and payment on College Board’s website)
4. DSST – Appropriate payment method
5. Administration fee (cash or check) or proof of prepayment
6. Scrap paper and pencils are provided. Check test websites below to determine whether additional items are needed for your test.

How to Register for a Exams?

CLEP Exam – Requires pre-registration and pre-payment online at CollegeBoard.org

DSST Exam – Registration and payment upon arrival for testing appointment.

Directions from the East: 
From Route 30 - Follow US-30 E to Chester Rd in Manheim Township. Take the exit toward PA-501/PA-272/US-222 S/Lititz Pike/Oregon Pike. Turn left onto PA-501 N/Lititz Pike.  In 4.1 miles turn left onto W Millport Rd. In 0.7 mi, then turn left onto Buckwalter Rd.  Destination will be on the right

Directions from the West: 
From Route 30, use the 2nd from the right lane to take the PA-272 N/Oregon Pike exit. Use the left lane to take the ramp to PA-501/US-222/Lititz Pike/Fruitville Pike. Turn right onto PA-501 N/Lititz Pike. In 4.1 miles turn left onto W Millport Rd. In 0.7 mi, then turn left onto Buckwalter Rd.  Destination will be on the right.
