Academic Support

We all need help sometimes. At EMU, we have multiple programs and offices that aim to help you succeed on your academic journey. We offer tutoring, disability services, programs to learn the English language and individual coaching to help you succeed.

Office of Academic Access

EMU does not have a formally designated program for students with disabilities but rather offers services and support through the Office of Academic Access, located in the Academic Success Center.

  At the academic success center, you’ll get free help  with all of the following: tutoring for a specific class, study skills, time management, test-taking skills, reading and comprehension skills,  writing skills , and basic math.

CoachLink will pair each involved undergraduate student with a professional staff member to guide, mentor, help them connect with campus services and regularly check in.

Intensive English Program

Students in our Intensive English Program (IEP) can focus full-time on their English classes,  concentrating on building language skills through immersion in a new culture.
