Our options are not limited to the internships listed below. Organizations listed reflect sites where WCSC has recently placed students or those that are currently looking for interns.  Please feel free to do your own research and do not hesitate to contact WCSC for further opportunities.

Church Ministries & Administration

  • Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ – progressive community of faith seeking to apply the liberation teachings of Christ to contemporary social struggles and everyday life.
  • Emory Beacon of Light, Inc.   – community development organization providing a variety of social services in the Brightwood neighborhood.
  • Capitol Hill Group Ministry – coalition of congregations of various denominations which supports at-risk youth, families, and those experiencing homelessness.
  • St. Teresa of Avila – Catholic Church in Southeast DC that celebrates diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Hyattsville Mennonite Church – urban Christian church of the Anabaptist Mennonite tradition.
  • Center for Children and Theology – hands-on spiritual life center for children and child advocacy, and support system for parents and pastors.
  • Church-run after-school programs, youth groups, and boys and girls clubs
