Rec Sports and Intramurals
Notice for 2020-21 Academic Year: modifications in light of COVID-19
EMU will offer modified recreational sport and game room options for the 2020-21 academic year, including enhanced disinfection of equipment, participation in smaller groups, and a requirement to wear face coverings by all times for participants and staff. For additional detail, see below.
What opportunities are available?
Rec sports, or intramurals, are a HUGE part of life on campus at EMU. Our recreation sports director is dedicated to providing a program of sports for students, faculty and staff, and participants enjoy positive recreational activities that appeal to a wide variety of people.
Recreational Sports staff will work to develop and present creative ways for the EMU student body to engage in physical activity and sports for the 2020-21 academic year that are responsive to and reflective of best practice given real time restrictions and health guidance.
Rec sports allow students an opportunity to both relax, have fun and build community.
Come join us in the Game Room, on an intramural sports team, working out or taking a class in the Fitness Center.
