EMU advising guides for VCCS students are designed to assist you as you plan your academic career at a Virginia community college. Each guide contains a list of courses that are required for a particular major at EMU and their VCCS equivalents. Under the section "Advising Notes" you will find information regarding special admission and/or other advice from the department on how to best prepare yourself for the major while at the community college.

EMU has a Guaranteed Admission Agreement with Blue Ridge Community College and Laurel Ridge Community College. We have provided advising guides specific to BRCC & LRCC students enrolled in the college/transfer program to assist you as you plan your academic career.

VCCS Discounted Course Policy

Students enrolled full time in VCCS can take one class at the per credit rate of their current school
While taking this class, students will have full access to EMU facilities and events
