Why I came to EMU
Originally, I searched around at local colleges for the chance to continue my athletic career. When I came into contact with EMU, I was offered the ability to keep doing my sport all while being a part of a unique community. I was attracted to the small school size and the ability to build meaningful relationships with professors and coaches. Finally, being able to live close to home and stay inside the beautiful Shenandoah valley made it a clear decision!
Why I love Harrisonburg
Harrisonburg is amazing because you are able to live inside of a busy city but are still able to get out into the woods within 15 minutes. I love the city life and the downtown scene, but it is so nice being able to kayak on several nearby rivers or shred the slopes on Massanutten's resort.
Favorite memory while at EMU
My favorite memory while at EMU was when our cross country team held our first home meet in over 20 years and having so many students come out and support. Cross country is not a very popular sport, but having so many students and parents come cheer us on down the final runway was fun and made me happy to be an EMU royal!
