Why EMU?
I came to EMU because of its welcoming community, the size of the campus, and beautiful views. Everyone was incredibly friendly and personable. They made me feel right at home through their kindness and support. I also knew I wanted relatively small classes so I could connect with my professors and peers on a deeper level. EMU offered exactly what I needed to help me thrive both academically and personally.
Why I love Harrisonburg
I love EMU because there is something here for everyone. The emphasis on community makes sure that everyone feels supported and welcomed. One thing I really appreciate is how professors here are always willing to work with you and guide you. The relationships you build along the way don't just end at graduation, but rather turn into the kind of connections that continue well into the future. I myself have reached out to several of my former professors for advice well into my post-grad life. I also love the design of the campus itself. I’ve enjoyed plenty of sunrises, sunsets, and nights stargazing on EMU’s hill. Both the beautiful campus and the warm community make EMU truly feel like home.
What else you should know about me
I am a music enthusiast and believe that there is something in it that everyone can appreciate. There's not a day that goes by where I do not listen to music. I'm also a violinist and have been playing for over a decade. In my spare time, I enjoy learning songs by ear, spending time with my friends and family, and playing with my cat, ViVi.
