Student Engagement
Park Woods offers lots of ways for EMU students to get involved. Park Woods Cabin and the surrounding woods host a variety of events including apple cider pressing, cleanups, potlucks, presentations, and even hosted Lumberjack Olympics, an event put on by the Campus Activities Council (CAC).
Apple Cider Pressing
Every fall, the EMU EarthKeepers Club hosts apple cider pressing in Park Woods. Students come and help press apples into cider and then get to drink the cider, eat snacks, and spend time with friends and peers.

Lumberjack Olympics
In 2020, the Campus Activities Council (CAC) hosted the Lumberjack Olympics in Park Woods where students could compete in a variety of events including axe and log throwing.

Park Woods Cabin
Park Woods Cabin hosts a variety of events year-round as well. Students host potlucks and give presentations in this space. They even temporarily converted the cabin into an escape room!
