Yes! Homecoming and Family Weekend 2021 events are planned in person. If changes need to be made we will alert people via an email update or through the homecoming website.
October 15-17, 2021
Each year the full Homecoming and Family Weekend schedule is listed online here. If you need a paper version of the schedule, email us at and we will send one to you.
Registration is now closed. Please join us at events where registration is not required. Tickets for Friday Music celebration concert and Sunday U2 Romeo and Juliet can be purchased at the door. See you soon!
There is no cost for registration. Dining plans are $10-$15/person (free for children ages 4 and under). Other breakfast and afternoon programs for particular alumni groups have affordable associated costs, as does the Fall Festival (food trucks!) and concert.

Those costs will be listed on the online registration form. In addition, there are many nearby restaurants -- many within walking distance from EMU -- to choose from.

We provide activities for all ages. This is a perfect time for children of alumni to become familiar with EMU and consider the value of an EMU education for their future. Whether it is music, the Color Run, or bounce houses on the lawn; an athletics event or a hike in the area, children of alumni can enjoy a visit to EMU for the weekend activities.
On campus options include the dining hall in the lower level of Northlawn, the Royal's Den in the University Commons upper level, and the Common Grounds Coffeehouse in the University Commons lower level. Dining tickets can be purchased through your online registration.

Several events include light refreshments or drinks. You are also welcome to check out one of the area's many ethnic restaurants, downtown eateries, and options nearby campus.
Harrisonburg is a vibrant college town, and the surrounding Shenandoah Valley offers beautiful outdoor activities. You might want to visit the Harrisonburg Farmer' Market Saturday morning, take younger ones to the Explore More Children's Museum, take a bike ride or a hike. Other attractions in Harrisonburg can be found here.
We have recently modified the formats of certain events. All meals will be outside, with to-go options. Guests attending the Donor Appreciation Banquet will receive health and safety updates and information by email. Masks are required, regardless of vaccination status, in all indoor spaces. In the event of rain, we plan to move events indoors into spaces that allow for social distancing and to offer to-go options for meals.
