Frequently Asked Questions
Will there be homecoming at EMU this year?
Yes! Homecoming and Family Weekend 2022 events are planned in person. If changes need to be made we will alert people via an email update or through the homecoming website.
What is the date of homecoming weekend 2022?
October 7-9, 2022
Where is the schedule for homecoming weekend?
Each year the full Homecoming and Family Weekend schedule is listed online here. If you need a paper version of the schedule, email us at alumni@emu.edu and we will send one to you.
How do I register?
Register at emu.edu/homecoming.
Is there a cost for homecoming?
There is no cost for registration. Dining plans are $10-$15/person (free for children
ages 4 and under). Other breakfast and afternoon programs for particular alumni groups
have affordable associated costs, as does the Fall Festival (food trucks!) and concert.
Those costs will be listed on the online registration form. In addition, there are
many nearby restaurants -- many within walking distance from EMU -- to choose from.
Are there activities for my children?
Absolutely!
We provide activities for all ages. This is a perfect time for children of alumni
to become familiar with EMU and consider the value of an EMU education for their future.
Whether it is music, the Color Run, or bounce houses on the lawn; an athletics event
or a hike in the area, children of alumni can enjoy a visit to EMU for the weekend
activities.
Where can I eat?
On campus options include the dining hall in the lower level of Northlawn, the Royal's
Den in the University Commons upper level, and the Common Grounds Coffeehouse in the
University Commons lower level. Dining tickets can be purchased through your online
registration.
Several events include light refreshments or drinks. You are also welcome to check
out one of the area's many ethnic restaurants, downtown eateries, and options nearby
campus.
