Benjamin Bixler

POSITION: Adjunct Faculty

Benjamin Bixler is currently completing a PhD at Drew Theological School in the area of Bible and Cultures, with a concentration in Women’s and Gender Studies.

Benjamin makes use of critical theory and literary studies to interpret the biblical text, with an interest in identity formation for those who have read and continue to read the Bible. A related area of interest centers around how the Bible is used in contemporary society, with a specific interest in popular culture expressions that interpret and rely on the Bible.
