The deposit is refundable and will be credited to your student account by September 1 under the following conditions:

- Ensuring your living space is left in a clean condition with no damage exceeding normal wear (as determined by EMU Housing staff)
Room assignments will be allocated by EMU staff. While roommate requests can be submitted on the Summer Housing Form, please note that they are accepted on a best-effort basis and cannot be guaranteed.
All students residing on campus during the summer are required to abide by EMU policies and procedures. Failure to abide by these policies may lead to fines or loss of summer housing eligibility.
All students residing on campus during the summer will be under the supervision of a summer Community Advisor (CA). This CA will be chosen by Conferences & Events and shares the same general responsibilities and powers as a school-year CA.
Continued summer housing eligibility is contingent upon maintaining employment with EMU (minimum of 30 hours per week) and/or enrollment in EMU summer courses without any policy violations.
Cost: Cost for summer housing includes:
- $20/day rate for students who are taking classes or working at EMU this summer
- $10/day for international students who are remaining on campus
- $25/day for any other reason outside of those listed above
