Why I love EMU

EMU provides a community with unmatched camaraderie. Being a smaller university, faculty is able to co-connect so well, and extend the same one-on-one attention to students. I appreciate everyone’s friendliness, helpfulness and intentionality in relating with each other as well as strangers. People won’t know you, but they’d still smile at you. Not to mention, we’re on a beautiful campus surrounded by hills and nature, and Shenandoah National Park is in our backyard (30 min away). What more can one ask for?

Anything else you should know about me?

Advocating for humanity and love is my purpose; Baking and good music is my therapy; running, intentionally connecting with people + nature, and having philosophical conversations gives me energy; organizing anything and hiking is how I find peace; and movement- dancing or traveling, is like breathing for me.

When I am not at EMU recruiting or coordinating group events, I’m out appreciating the beautiful locations Virginia has to offer whilst coordinating weddings.
