Convocation and Engage Events/Breakout Groups
Faculty, staff, and students gather each Wednesday from 10:10 - 11:00 a.m. for Convocation or Campus Worship and Engage Breakout Gatherings. All of these featured events are worth two Engage points.
Convocation is held every other week. It is a space for developing a sense of community in response to EMU core values and commitments. Speakers engage timely conversations and explore topics from a variety of perspectives.
Campus Worship is a space for gathered community worship in a variety of styles over the course of the semester. Campus Worship is held every other week in Martin Chapel.
Engage Breakout Gatherings are groups led by faculty, staff, or students inviting conversations on a variety of conversations such as faith development, campus engagement, diversity and inclusion, life skills, and more. The Breakout Gatherings available may vary every time they are gathered, and are held every other week during Campus Worship. Request for Engage Breakout Gathering - This form is only used for events on Wednesdays from 10:10-11am during Campus Worship. Request that a Engage Breakout Gathering be approved to allow students to scan in for Engage requirement points.
