The entire EMU community is warmly welcome to help kick off the new academic year at the Seminary Opening Convocation. Seminary Dean Sue Cockley, who also serves as Dean of the new School of Theology, Humanities and the Performing Arts, will be leading us in reflections on the passage in Luke 2 where Jesus leaves behind his parents and chooses instead to study at the feet of the wise religious teachers. Her thoughts are entitled, “Any Questions?” We will also be reflecting on some of the fears that we carry both individually and collectively, and how God calls us to carry those fears in the context of community (Psalm 27).
