Introduction to Community Interpreting

 

This interactive, practical course is designed for those who would like to gain a deeper understanding of what oral language interpreting involves and how to do interpreting in a more professional way. It will help you if you find yourself in the role of an interpreter in social services, educational, or community settings, or if you are considering a career in interpreting. The course will cover expectations and boundaries of a professional interpreter, the roles of an interpreter in an encounter, and the ethical dilemmas associated with professional interpretation.

3 day workshop with Breakfast and Lunch provided.
