Lori currently resides in the suburbs of Reading, Pennsylvania. She is in her 18th year teaching 11th and 12th grade language arts at a public high school in Berks County. There, she also serves as a gifted program coordinator. She became a part of the EMU team in 2022 after receiving her doctoral degree from Kutztown University in Transformational Teaching and Learning. Her doctoral research utilizes Contemporary Trauma Theory as a framework to explore how educators grieve after the death of a student, how that impacts their lives personally and professionally, and how they perceive institutional expectations of bereavement.
