As a Graduate Admissions Specialist, Kara Glascoe works to help prospective students find their
academic program in what she calls the “warm and inviting community” of Eastern Mennonite
University.

Glascoe joined the Graduate Admissions team at EMU in December 2022. 
Informed by more than a decade of public service in criminal justice, she also has professional experience in mass
communications, multimedia journalism and extracurricular programming for collegiate scholars. Her volunteer experience
includes church hospitality, prison ministry, and program development and event planning for Christian
singles. 

Glascoe earned her B.S. in Mass Communications with a minor in Marketing and her M.S. in Multimedia
Journalism from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. She is a graduate of University of
Richmond School of Law and she earned her Certificate in Civil Mediation
from the National Judicial College located at University of Nevada-Reno.

A Virginia native, Glascoe lives in the Town of Shenandoah. She attends Shiloh Church of God Seventh
Day in Hyattsville, MD and New Life Kingdom Builders Ministries in the Greater Richmond Area.
