Landis’s courses were always popular, and he loved to welcome his former students to campus. He often remembered their names.
In retirement, Landis enjoyed his wife Peggy, two children, three grandchildren, raising beautiful roses, attending Park View Mennonite Church, singing in the Shenandoah Valley Choral Society and volunteering at the Artisan's Hope store.
