Matt Stearn,
“Mennonites and Their Tools: Healing Communities for Combat Veterans”
Students in the seminary’s Master of Divinity program complete Capstone Integration Projects across the two semesters of their senior year. During the fall semester, they negotiate with the professors in the Formation in Missional Leadership class the design of their projects. They then complete their projects in the spring, producing a final paper and making a public presentation.
An excellent and challenging presentation. Thank you Matt! I’m thankful I took the 20 minutes needed to listen. This should be published in The Mennonite and other church papers. Too many of our church people buy in to the war hero idea, completely avoiding the whole issue of moral injury, so our youth should hear this before they choose the military. And yes, the Mennonite Church should also accept the challenge to be a Healing Community for Combat Veterans.
