Dr. Gail Brook Arthur  received her BA in Chemistry from the University of Virginia before attending medical school at the Univerisy of Maryland at Baltimore. After completion of her MD degree, Dr. Arthur finished her training with a pediatric internship and residency at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Following her residency, she was a general pediatrician for HealthAmerica in Pittsburgh, PA.  Dr. Brook Arthur moved to the Shenandoah Valley and worked part-time for the Harrisonburg/Rockingham Early Intervention Board and the James Madison University Child Development Clinic. She was a lecturer in pediatrics for the James Madison University Physician Assistant Program for thirteen years and served as adjunct faculty in the James Madison University (JMU) Health Sciences department where she taught Personal Wellness, the US Healthcare System, Population Health, Chronic Disease, and Infectious Disease. She completed her  Master of Science in Biomedicine with a teaching concentration at EMU in 2019.  She is now excited to be adjunct faculty to the Biology Department and the Biomedicine Program, where she is currently teaching Biol. 112 and 122 Anatomy and Physiology 1 & 2, Biol. 437/BMC 612  Advanced Human Anatomy/ Human Gross and Microscopic Anatomy, BMS 585 Infectious Disease, and BMX 611 Biomedicine, Faith, and Ethics. Gail has continued her relationship with JMU and still teaches occassionally for the Helath Sciences Department.
