DiGennaro is a social worker, educator, and published author. She joined the EMU community in 2019, following 11 years of non profit leadership in Eastern Africa. At EMU she teaches Social Work courses, Anthropology, and a Local Context Intercultural program. 

Her professional interests include the intersection of spirituality and social life, culture-building for families & communities, and intercultural education.

She is a participant-observer of the Mennonite Church. Actively involved in a local congregation, she also tracks with issues of cultural assimilation, narrative, and community cohesion.
