Make a lasting investment in world peace through a gift to the Norman and Alice Clemmer Rittenhouse Endowed Scholarship Fund at Eastern Mennonite University (EMU).

History

In celebration of the life of his beloved wife, Alice Clemmer Rittenhouse (1929-2016), and their shared concern for justice and peace, Norm Rittenhouse is collaborating with Eastern Mennonite University to establish a permanent endowment fund to provide scholarship support to graduate students attending the Center for Justice and Peacebuilding (CJP) at EMU.

This endowed scholarship provides financial aid to graduate students from the Middle East and other parts of the world who dedicate their lives to resolving conflict peacefully in communities threatened by violence and economic strife.
You are investing in world-renown peacebuilding program that has a proven track record of success in developing effective leaders in conflict transformation, restorative justice, trauma healing, and conflict-sensitive development.
You are sowing seeds of peace in 124 countries through CJP’s experienced faculty, staff, and 590 graduates plus more than 7,500 trainees who have been impacted through CJP.
You are celebrating the life and legacy of Alice Clemmer Rittenhouse and her husband, Norman, whose commitment to world peace has been a beacon of hope and inspiration to many people

Please consider a one-time, tax-deductible gift or multiyear commitment to be added to the Norman and Alice Clemmer Rittenhouse Endowed Scholarship for World Peace c/o Eastern Mennonite University.

Your gift will join with support from the Rittenhouse family and friends to advance world peace through this permanent endowment fund. When this fund accumulates $100,000 or more, approximately $5,000 per year in much-needed financial aid will be awarded to one or more CJP graduate students in the program.
