Faculty/Staff Conference – John Stahl-Wert: “A Global Context”

In this opening session of the annual Fall Faculty/Staff Conference, we welcomed John Stahl-Wert to engage the theme of “Serve and Lead.”  The theme is derived from a line of the  the Eastern Mennonite University mission statement

Dr. John Stahl-Wert (EMU ’81)is an entrepreneur, CEO, and Leadership Mentor. John founded a number of initiatives in the Pittsburgh area, including  Serving Ventures and Pittsburgh Urban Leadership Service Experience (PLUS. He has authored a number of books including international best-sellers. A City Transformation Champion from 1994 to 2012, John served and led Pittsburgh Leadership Foundation, a 35-year-old city transformation agency dedicated to the renewal and flourishing of the culture of Pittsburgh. This work included founding the International Training Institute for Leadership Foundations, a 50-city Leadership Foundation organization working for city flourishment, business and civic excellence, and community development world-wide.
John is married to Milonica (EMU ’81) and father to Emma (EMU ’11) and Clara.
