Jeremiah Padilla

Filipino pianist Jeremiah Padilla began his musical studies at the Awit Center for the Arts in the Philippines. He then received a full scholarship to attend the Philippine High School for the Arts (PHSA), where he studied with Professor Nita Quinto. Jeremiah’s musicianship matured through his participation in the 2019 AIMS in Graz with Kenneth Griffiths and James Douglass, in the 2012 Brevard Music Festival with Norman Krieger, and in master classes with Danny Driver, Antonio de Cristofano, Alon Goldstein, and Craig Nies. 

As a soloist, Jeremiah has performed piano concerti with the James Madison University Orchestra, the Awit Pilipinas Youth Orchestra, the University of Memphis Symphony Orchestra, and the Memphis Repertory Orchestra. As a collaborative pianist, he has been fortunate to perform with professors and notable graduate and undergraduate students.

Currently, Jeremiah is a doctoral student at James Madison University studying with Dr. Gabriel Dobner. He is currently serving as adjunct instructor at James Madison University and Eastern Mennonite University. Jeremiah received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of Memphis under the tutelage of Dr. Victor Asuncion and Dr. Cathal Breslin.
