Resources for Sharing Faith
Conectere has three interrelated parts: research, practice and resources. The research study
uses grounded theory to understand the mechanisms and impact of faith formation and
relational practices in particular Christian subcultures. Through the practice lab,
parents and caregivers explore contextually appropriate practices of secure attachment
and religious transmission with scholars from psychology and practical theology. Finally,
resources will emerge from this learning process that can serve parents, caregivers,
congregational leaders and faith communities.
Parent-caregiver cohorts in the Conectere program will receive training in Connect, a trauma-informed, attachment-based program.
The Connect training will be adapted for the Conectere cohort format and for caring for children of all ages. See the Connect program website for more details about this training approach that promotes social, emotional and
behavioral adjustment and attachment security.
