Patience is a peacebuilder-conservationist who sees her role as a conciliatory one between humans and our environment’s complex ecosystems. She recieved both her BA '02 and MA '17 degrees from EMU, and began working at CJP in 2015.

After growing up in Elkhart, Indiana, and Nairobi, Kenya, Alena was attracted to the international ethos that she found in the EMU community. She chose to attend EMU for her BA '16, and began working at CJP in 2016.
