Paul is an experienced peacebuilder, community leader, organizer, facilitator, teacher, program designer, and friend. You can often find him playing, dancing, singing or creating art with young people in the Clarkston community, known as the “most diverse square mile” in the US, where he has lived and worked for over 10 years. Over the past 25 years, more than 40,000 refugees have been resettled in Clarkston. Paul is a familiar face in schools, neighborhoods, nonprofit organizations, community centers and religious spaces where he has created and led collaborative, peace and justice initiatives in the Clarkston community.

The diversity of peacebuilding initiatives Paul has led range from sports and arts to agriculture and faith. Paul has proven himself to be an adaptive and innovative leader, who demonstrates imagination and vision for the future. Paul is a leader who empowers others through creating space for collaborative engagement and he is an experienced intercultural leader/collaborator. Paul believes young people embody the future and has invested his life in the transformational power of these young lives.
