In addition to The Warrior’s Path, Clabough is the author of the novel Confederado and five scholarly books on Southern writers, including Inhabiting Contemporary Southern & Appalachian Literature: Region & Place in the 21st Century.

In a review of The Warrior’s Path, George Garrett gives the book high praise: “The writing is at once eloquent, elegant and evocative. In short, it is a beautifully written work – a genuine pleasure to read and to re-read.”

Clabough is editor of the literature section of the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities’ Encyclopedia Virginia and general editor of the James Dickey Review, a literary journal. He lives on a farm in Appomattox County, Virginia, and is an associate professor of English at Lynchburg College.
