Voices Together Hymnal Project

students singing from a hymnal

Music shapes our theology, our worldview and our lives. At EMU, the Mennonite hymn tradition, along with a wide variety of worship music, continues to shape EMU students into unifying leaders, who put their faith into action around the world. EMU’s hymn sing club and campus ministries would like to invite you to help us purchase the newest Mennonite hymnal, Voices Together.

Voices Together includes various styles of music and understandings of God and the world we live in. Dr. Benjamin Bergey, ’11, assistant professor of music and choir director at EMU, was the music editor of Voices Together. His hope for the hymnal is that it “draws people to worship, to learn more about God and themselves, and to be drawn into closer discipleship with Christ.” This is your opportunity to help the EMU continue in discipleship and faith through music.

The hymnal will be used in chapel settings for undergraduate and seminary students, at events like Homecoming Worship and the Christmas Lessons and Carols worship service, and during student-led hymn sings. Join us in adding to the available hymnal offerings at EMU by donating today!
