Welcome to the first installment of our recurring This week in EMU history series. Using stories from the EMU Archives, we’ll revisit issues of The Weather Vane and other university publications from 25, 50, 75, and 100 years ago each week.
We’ll select and republish snippets from stories that are:
- interesting or surprising,
- relevant to EMU’s mission and identity,
- and particularly relevant to the present day.
Note: This semester marked the beginning of the Washington Study-Service Year, now known as the EMU Washington Semester, which continues to transform students’ lives today!
