Gbowee Shares “Greatness of Girls” at Conference

Leymah Gbowee spoke on the “greatness of girls” and the creation of the Young Girls Transformative Project at the 2012 TED conference.

Gbowee, who earned a master’s degree in conflict transformation from Eastern Mennonite University’s Center for Justice and Peacebuilding in 2007, shared her story on working for women’s rights and “unlocking the passion, intelligence and greatness of girls.”

TED is a nonprofit devoted to “Ideas Worth Spreading.” The conference is designed to bring together people from three worlds: Technology, entertainment and design.
