Joanna is currently serving as the Intervention Center Coordinator at Thomas Harrison Middle School in the Harrisonburg City School district. With the support of an energetic team of administrators and educators, she is responsible for discerning and implementing how restorative practices can be integrated into Thomas Harrison’s disciplinary procedures. She also teaches piano lessons in the Shenandoah Valley Preparatory Music program and violin in the Harrisonburg City School Suzuki Violin Program. She enjoys playing the violin with the Waynesboro Symphony Orchestra and serving on the board for the Family Music Project, a program in the Shenandoah Valley working to utilize music education as a platform for cross-cultural-community building and English language learning.
