Brianne Ede received her Bachelor’s Degree in Peacebuilding & Development from Eastern Mennonite University. She has her Master’s of Arts in Conflict Transformation and centered her studies on US narratives of domestic minor sex trafficking. Ms. Ede focused on trauma healing and organizational development as invaluable pieces of conflict transformation and completed the Strategies of Awareness and Resilience (STAR) training as well as obtaining a graduate certificate in non profit leadership. She is passionate about empowering underserved youth and equipping organizations that work with these youth to be sustainable and responsible. She spent two years providing direct services to teenage girls who had been commercially sexually exploited and has worked for various youth focused non profits, including The Boys & Girls Club of America.

She currently serves as the Program Coordinator at Advocating Opportunity, a legal non-profit that provides legal services and advocacy to trafficked persons. She is a certified trained facilitator for Girl’s Circle and has plans to co-facilitate a circle for court involved youth summer of 2019.
