Senior Lisa Lee (Buckingham, VA/Buckingham County) added one more award to her collection as she was named 2012 All-State Second Team as a utility player by the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID).
Lee was also named All-Region Second Team and All-ODAC Second Team.
She was second for the Lady Royals this spring with a .405 batting average, and led the team with 35 runs, 10 stolen bases and a .750 slugging percentage. She added eight homeruns, 12 doubles and 29 RBIs. As a pitcher, Lee led Eastern Mennonite with a 12-5 record with a 2.25 ERA.
In her final season, Lee established program records with 27 career homers and 141 career runs. She also helped the team break program records with 49 longballs and a .542 slugging percentage.
She was also named VaSID All-State First Team in 2011.
EMU finished 27-13 this spring, tying last year’s club for the second-most wins in program history.
