Rodrigue Makelele, a 2020 graduate of EMU’s Center for Justice and Peacebuilding, was honored by the area United Way of Harrisonburg and Rocknigham as the 2022 Young Community Builder Award.

This is not the first time an EMU graduate has been honored. Educator Laura Feichtinger McGrath GC ’18 was honored as a 2020 Bright Star. Alicia Horst ’01, MDiv ’06 was honored in 2019.
