For the second time this year, freshman Chloe Roach (Leesburg, Va./Tuscarora) has earned a spot on the D3hoops.com Team of the Week presented by Scoutware. Eastern Mennonite’s guard was the only underclassmen on this week’s list of honorees.
Roach put a stamp on the end of the regular season, averaging 26.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 3.0 steals against two of the top teams in the ODAC.
She poured in a career high 30 points in Saturday’s game at first-place Lynchburg, shooting 63.6% from the floor. Roach also dished out a career best nine assists. In Tuesday’s 74-67 win at Randolph-Macon, Roach scored 23 points, including 17 in the decisive second half, adding nine rebounds and four steals.
For the week, the 5-8 guard shot 24-for-43 from the floor.

Roach is sixth in the ODAC in scoring (16.0ppg), assists (86) and steals (60).
She was also named the Team of the Week for the stretch of Jan. 23-29, when she averaged 22.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in wins over Guilford and Shenandoah.
EMU’s women ended the regular season with a record of 17-7 overall and 12-4 in the ODAC, claiming the No. 4 seed in the conference tourney. The Royals will play in the quarterfinals this Friday at 3:00pm, against either No. 5 Randolph-Macon or No. 12 Hollins.
The semifinals are Saturday with the championship set for Sunday. All games this weekend are at the Salem Civic Center, in Salem, Va.
