Math Teacher
2010: Following graduation, our family returned to Meridian, Mississippi. We chose to live and serve in a diverse community, with like-minded believers at similar stages in life, in a culture to which we felt called to return.
I am now a math teacher in a local public high school and a lay leader in the Mennonite church in Meridian, which has done interfaith community organizing in the city.
My restorative justice classes as well as the other peacebuilding classes offer perspective and resources which I use every day in my roles at the urban high school teaching math, in my family, and in the work of our church.
