    • Funding Request: Peace Fellowship
      • Anna is here representing Peace Fellowship. Asking for $1,455 to send students to MCC UN conference in NYC. Covering registration cost, transportation, and food cost for students. Will host a Common Grounds event or Peace Fellowship meeting to share about the experience.
      • Bethany: It’s a lot of money but it’s also a once in a lifetime opportunity experience. It also is important because this year is on Palestine conflict, which relates to the students who go on cross-cultural.
      • Ken: last year they sent 12 students and asked for the same about of money.
      • Kat: It’s a lot of money to send 6 students and pay fully for the trip.
      • Tyler: I think the students going should also put some of their own money into it. Total amount of money for this semester is $7,600. We’ve only spent around $300 so far. If we were on track for spending the whole semester we would have spent $3,000 at this point.
      • Elizabeth: 2 more students could go if we didn’t pay for cost of food.
      • Bethany: Last year she believes there were 6 undergraduate students and 6 CJP students.
      • Robert moves to amend the motion to have them reevaluate their cost for this year.
      • Bethany: they paid $60 per person last year. Would like students to pay for food.
      • Hanna: Doesn’t feel comfortable to ask students to pay a portion of this.
      • Ken: Ask yourself “What is a reasonable amount to ask for the average student to put in while still being able to go?”
      • Bethany moves to have them reevaluate their food cost, ask students to pay a $50 fee and provide lodging cost. Mario seconds.
