Senior Advisor, Emergencies, Save the Children Alliance
2009: I’ve switched jobs in Save the Children. I’m now “Senior Advisor, Emergencies” for the Save the Children Alliance (ie the mother ship).
November 2006: After returning from Sri Lanka, where I worked for CARE as the director of several projects that focused on integrating peacebuilding within development initiatives, I completed a number of consultancies, such as designing a peacebuilding communication skills curriculum (for World Vision Asia Pacific) and developing peacebuilding glossaries for development workers in conflict zones (for CARE).
I am currently the Program Manager of the Child Protection in Emergencies Unit of Save the Children Canada. Right now we are funding or implementing about 13 emergency responses around the world. This includes a large drought relief program in Kenya, child education interventions in Sudan and Pakistan, flood relief in Ethiopia, and a range of other programs aimed at assisting children affected by conflict and disaster.
When I am not traveling, I live with my husband in beautiful Calgary, Alberta, between the Rocky Mountains and the prairies.
