Elena Huegel is the Mission Personnel at Global Ministries of the Christian Church (DoC) and United Church of Christ in Mexico. Her work areas are Environmental Education, Conflict Transformation and Trauma healing.
Currently she is working at the Institute for Intercultural Study and Research (INESIN), a civil-society organisation “that strives to contribute to the construction of peace in Chiapas through promotion of interreligious and intercultural dialogue in projects focusing on topics such as prevention of domestic violence, positive conflict transformation, migration, personal spiritual growth, Biblical translation, and strengthening Chiapanecan communities” (INESIN, DoC, 2017).
