Twila King Yoder has served as assistant to the president at Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, Va. since June of 1999. She holds a masters in church leadership degree from Eastern Mennonite Seminary with a concentration in pastoral care and counseling and a certificate in personal mediation skills from the Community Mediation Center. Twila also serves as corporate secretary to the Board of Trustees and supervises the administrative suite receptionist as well as the Information Office. She is a member of President’s Cabinet and Strategic Planning Council and provides support for the Constituent Conferences Committee (CCC) and the Faculty/Staff Conference planning committee. Twila also represents the president’s office on a number of other committees and serves as liaison for the president to faculty, staff, students, retirees and publics of the university when needed. She is a long-time member and currently serves on the board of the National Association of Presidential Assistants in Higher Education (NAPAHE) and has been accepted into the 2013-14 Senior Leadership Seminar with the Virginia Network of the Office of Women in Higher Education.

Twila is a graduate of the Values-based Leadership Program (VBLP), which provides an Anabaptist perspective on leadership development. Twila and her husband Steve have four children and four grandchildren.
