Patience graduated from EMU in April 2002. She worked briefly for First Financial Bank (now Willow Financial Bank) in Pennsylvania before returning to EMU later the same year, where she took a job with the alumni and parent relations office through April 2011. She is currently assistant director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness.

Other departments she has worked for at EMU include Auxiliary Services (formerly Conferences & Events) and the seminary office.

She is also a part-time grad student at EMU’s Center for Justice and Peacebuilding

In her spare time, Patience enjoys spending it with her precocious dog Zinzi, talking with people about “everything and nothing,” photography, journaling, movies (watching and making), music, good TV and the occasional Scifi kitsch. A self professed weakness lay plainly within her vulnerability and sometimes willing indulgence for things electronic. She is also filled with delirious joy every time she successfully pulls off a prank/practical joke on the people around her.

Future ambitions? To be zen. More zen than the preceding day. Maya Angelou says it best, “when we know better, we do better.”
