Hubert Pellman (Deceased)

During his 39-year career, Dr. Pellman taught not only courses in English but in other disciplines as well. His specialties were British and American literature. During sabbaticals he taught at Westmont College in California and Hukusei University in Japan. In the 1960s he researched and wrote the official 50-year history of EMU. It was published in 1967.

In retirement, Pellman worked on a Pellman family history and wrote the history of Virginia Mennonite Property Aid Plan. 

His legacy continues under the Hubert R. Pellman and Mildred Pellman Literature Scholarship fund, established under the Hubert Pellman Endowed Chair.
