Admission Criteria for Level II Practitioner Option
Admission Criteria
- Recommendation of Level I and II trainers
- Training or teaching experience
- An academic background in a STAR related discipline or relevant qualifying experience
- Recommendation from a professional colleague
Requirements
- Make a presentation at a Level II training group (or submit a video of a presentation of STAR concepts to a live audience)
- Pass an exam on STAR content and readings
- Personal growth goal set and communicated to Level II trainers
- Submit an annual report for the STAR network on STAR-related work and learnings
At the end of the STAR Practitioner process participants are additionally prepared to:
- Do presentations and workshops of up to two days based on the STAR content
Support and benefits from STAR/EMU:
- An evidence-based curriculum developed over a ten year period
- Provided with 20 Level I power point slides with talking points
- Yearly teleseminar/webinar with other STAR Practitioners
- Notification of significant STAR seminar content updates
- STAR e-zine available for your mailing list
- STAR marketing materials available at cost
- 20 minutes of individual coaching/mentoring by phone per year (additional time available for purchase—-$50 for 20 min; $100 for 40 min, $120 for 1 hour).
Fee for Practitioner Status:
- $249 initial fee (Includes exam fee of $100, first year’s annual fee of $100, and the support and benefits listed above)
- $100 annual fee in subsequent years
