As an opening event for the MCS-sponsored weekend celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., EMU alumnus and Pastor Leonard Dow reflects on the topic “The Dangerous Call of the Gospel”. Leonard pastors the Oxford Circle Mennonite Church in Philadelphia, PA and is spending several days at EMU to interact with students, faculty and staff as part of the Visiting Pastor Program.
Loren Swartzendruber kicks off the Spring Semester, continuing the “This I believe” chapel series, started last fall. The series features speakers from our own community, sharing from their own experiences around the topic, “This I believe…”
Opening Convocation for spring semester featured Provost Beryl Brubaker speaking on “Celebrate the Vision: Story Shaping Story” as part of EMU’s 90th anniversary celebration. Psalm 78: 1-7.
The University also commissioned the sending of the of the Latin America Cross-Cultural group.
